I got my laptop, a brand new HP Compaq 6510B notebook computer. This will be my primary tool in doing my work, maintaining our company's databases, and provide support to all of our employees accessing them.
Before, I had to use an IBM R40 notebook computer as a service unit. Using my old R40 laptop, I was able to function effectively, albeit I had problems since I had to keep it plugged into AC power since the battery only lasts for about 40 minutes.
This early, I am beginning to feel the power of this new machine as it has tremendous processing speed, not to mention having the comfort of not having to keep it plugged all the time.
I love my Compaq!

Are you up to the challenge?
I was once interviewed for a position in a company for an IT professional. Given an opportunity to speak, I asked a question, "What would be the most challenging part of this job?"
The interviewer said; "Think about this, 60+ databases residing in about a dozen servers each having a size of at least 75 GB, and you are the only DBA. "
Challenging, isn't it? Will you accept it?
Long delayed.....
Hello world!
This is the very first line every newbie programmer should learn to program. But I am no longer a programmer. I used to deal with all the codes of financial applications of a multinational company. I got tired of that, feeling that I have long outgrown those stuffs. Enough said...
I have long planned to start my own blog, but I wasn't able to do so since I was so busy doing other things. But now that I started this, HELLO WORLD!!!
There are a lot of reasons why people get addicted to this. They say blogs become diaries, containing rants, raves and thoughts about almost everything under the sun.
Here, I'll talk about the things around me. That includes my job,my family, everything, anything under the sun...
